      The Trans Am was always an F-body, therefore this, or that, is a natural progression, imho. The GTO however, was an A-body, then it was downsized to the X platform. The GTO's transformation into an F-body does not work for me, but neither does a fwd version based on a different late model platform.

          I still don't get why they are trying to put late 70s 2nd gen Firebird style nose and tail on a body style that is supposed to mimic the 1st gen cars. Why not make it look like a 69 Trans Am? I guess because Burt Reynolds didn't drive one of those ...
