I saw this on another forum yesterday. Unbelievable isn't it. In 2007 dollars it would still only cost $387.11 to rebuild the engine and the tranny!

Damn as JRoberts points out, that is a smokin deal even adjusting for inflation. Simple machines they were back then. My friends grandpa used to say that you could rebuild everything on a Model A with a screw driver and cresent wrench, and Ford even supplied those with the car when you bought it.
