Yup, should be good, just dumped my motorhome off out there, and roped off some pit space... People are coming in already and racing isnt till friday! Well... back out to the garage, I still need to swap gears, carb, and ditch some extra weight (street trim) :o

Re: NSDA Sand drags this week end!
OK, Mike--tell me if I'm sniffing glue. I have one 72 Duster that I got for $200 and it's almost complete junk. If I Sawzalled some room for some small paddles, threw in a junkyard 360 on nitrous, and gutted a bunch of weight out of it, is there any reason it wouldn't be competitive in the brackets? Is it too low for ground clearance on the track?

Re: NSDA Sand drags this week end!
Dave, Nothing wrong with sniffing glue, or those big fat black markers! ;D The duster could work, weight would be one of your enemys, you would need to do alot of sawzalling, the standard tire out there is a STU 20.00 (20" wide) on a 15" or wider wheel... There was a back halfed camaro out there once that was pretty cool... I think youd be ok height wise, if you look at my buddys red jeep (above) its only 3" or so off the ground and it does ok... You should just sell me all your Dusters for a low price and buy a jeep! Or better yet, buy a larry minor body and build a drag jeep under it... Theres a few out there 14-1500 lbs! one with a wicked blown small block! mines a tank at 2500lbs!

Re: NSDA Sand drags this week end!
This would be a blast to go to,and i plan on going some day.... Here is some pics of my new longtravel sandcar as it's being built...It has a twin turbo 5.3 that makes 630hp on pump gas and 750hp with some good fuel and a little more boost!!!!!!!!I hope to have it on the dunes in oklahoma before the end of the year....Chad you and Dave and the rest of the gang have got to make the trip next spring to "do the dunes".. Several of my friends have longtravel cars,so the line for rides should be short!!!!
And it should look kinda like this but with some killer airbrush side panels
