he NMRA Keystone Automotive Ford Nationals is proud to announce that Watson Racing will once again host a special Ford Performance Cobra Jet Showdown that will run at the Nitto Tire NMRA Spring Break Shootout event at Bradenton Motorsports Park in Bradenton, FL, the weekend of March 3-6, 2016. Watch as Cobra Jets from all around the U.S. converge on Bradenton Motorsports Park and set their combinations on kill for the prestigious title of NMRA Cobra Jet Showdown Champion!
"Cobra Jets have had amazing success on the track and truly showcase Blue Oval power. The Cobra Jet Showdown gives CJ owners another great opportunity to experience what their Cobra Jets can do,” said Steve Wolcott, NMRA’s CEO. “The NMRA Spring Break Shootout is the place to be for Ford racing fans…and the addition of the Ford Performance Cobra Jet Showdown further ads to an already incredible event. The class will qualify on Friday. The Cobra Jet Showdown is an Open Comp format, with the best qualifying pass +.010 becomes your index, handicap start, breakout eliminator.. The Showdown will feature a $2,500 purse with the overall winner receiving $1,000, a custom champion’s jacket, and a Victor award all presented in the Aerospace Components winners circle, as well as great exposure in NMRA’s own Race Pages magazine.
