The NMCA Muscle Car Nationals team is proud to announce the return of the 5th Annual Chevrolet Performance Nationals to Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, Georgia, the weekend of June 3-5. Presented by Scoggin Dickey Parts Center, this event attracts some of the baddest Chevy and GM competitors in the country! New for 2016 is the addition of Street Outlaws' TV stars, Doc and Monza, who will be signing autographs on Saturday along with Larsen Motorsports' jet dragster team. This is an event you don't want to miss!
The Chevrolet Performance Nationals includes six of the coolest LS (and modern LT) race classes on the planet! Everything from JE Pistons Drag Radial, a turbocharged, supercharged, and nitrous-powered GM class with speeds upwards of 200mph, to Gear Vendors True Street for street legal cars and trucks will be tearing up the race track all weekend long! Big money is up for grabs in the heads up classes as well as for all three bracket racing categories. Look for Chevrolet Performance Stock, Holley EFI Real Street, Proform Rumble and LME Street King to add to the excitement while photographers from all the big websites and magazines catch the action.
On Saturday, June 4, be sure to meet Doc and Monza from TV's Street Outlaws and get a picture in front of Doc's "Street Beast," his killer nitrous fed '70 Chevy Monte Carlo along with Monza's incredible nitrous assisted '72 Chevy Camaro Rally Sport famously referred to as "Sinister Split Bumper!" Larsen Motorsports will be running four jet dragsters on Saturday, June 4, at Atlanta Dragway. Each dragster is capable of 300mph in the quarter mile. With a team comprised mostly of women, and led by Elaine Larsen, this is a one-of-a-kind team. Jet dragsters are incredible to see and hear as the flames shoot out hundreds of feet during warm-up. Hang on to your seat as over 20,000hp roars down the quarter mile! Stop by the Larsen Motorsports pit area for autographs and a close look at a jet engine cutaway.
The giant manufacturers' midway, used parts swap meet and all-GM car show will be part of this huge event allowing Chevrolet fans and spectators the chance to get up-close and personal with their favorite brand. The Chevrolet Performance Nationals' car show is where you'll see some of the coolest early- and late-model muscle cars and hot rods with hundreds of awards handed out on both Saturday and Sunday!
