Just checked weather.com and this will be a WARM weekend at Maxton . Friday through Sunday mid to upper 90's!. Good thing is the chances for rain are low. Of course this is southeastern North Carolina where summer means hot, humid and afternoon thunderstorms are the norm. Just be prepared. Sunscreen and water a plenty!

At least the Wind is a Tailwind.

There is no such thing as a tailwind at maxton. Maybe a momentary gust. Normally its blowing across the vehicle. A tail wind at the starting line is a cross wind at the important point. Nice thinking though. It will be hot. Wear closed toed shoes, its fire ant season!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!

The NC sun is a toasty one this year. I got burnt sitting on the boat on sunday drinkin cold ber, when I should have been in the shade putting a motor together. Why work when you can have fun.
There is a motor in the vehicle, it is missing some vital parts at this point but should be looking pretty good wednesday morning.

I agree with the Tailwind Theory, We know the Weather for that area enough to know that it could also be a 12 MPH Headwind on the other side of the track. It's either BLowing or Sucking and somehow that does'nt seem so bad in the right context.

Mary Ellen makes it possible for me to do this, so she's my sponsor. The name of her business is "Music With ME" - so that's the way it is.

The Mystery is solved. Good reason to name the Car.

Interesting dan, I thought it had feminine influences, but then I thought that was just you. ;D

Did I mention I took the engine back apart....

Once again Work dictates that I have to do Maxton at a later date. The work issue is what keeps it all going, so I'll see you all in September hopefully.

Let's see.... it's Wednesday,10:30 pm. Unfortunately, Racepak has fibbed to me and my next day package has not arrived. Need to still finish IQ3 configuration, shim engine for pinion angle, align, and fit two drivers (neither of whom have done this before) But it runs (and sounds great), no leaks, and I might get to Maxton by Friday mid-afternoon. vic

                                Randy -
Won't be the same without you. BTW - did you get my PM about the sign maker? It's yours if you want it.

See y'all in a day or two
