I'm only an hour away and took the weekend off work to attend this event. Then found out I get to have surgery early that week that might not let me go. It will be a game time decision based on health, heat, etc.

I felt like crap this morning (surgery went well but left me with plugged sinuses) and decided to go anyway. Very glad I did, some new stuff and some I swear have been sitting in garages since that last one in '98 or before! Lots of the old school pro street rides, saw 3 different people wearing t-shirts from 1989 and one from 1985. May go back tomorrow and hang out some more. In 2 years this event will be as big as the CC nats in Minnesota.

I went today, pretty cool, Ride Tech had their Mustang straight out of the 90's there...lots of cool looking original cars and many Pro Street cars that were wild looking and even a seriously ugly John Deere car....I load some pictures later...

I made it there today by noon and by 2pm it rained on me twice. Wiped the car down 1 last time and came home. I'd say 1/2 of Saturday's cars came back for Sunday. Still a good time, glad I went. Anyone know why the fire dept. showed up? Burnout contest issue or car on the dyno?

they kept setting off the smoke detectors at the burnout competion ! Too funny . I was parked in with the GM Performance guys on Sunday if anyone saw my car in there. Also the big banners hanging from the sides of the stage had a pic of my old prostreeter on it so after the awards CC let me have one !
