  • First CarJunkieTV.com event?

Bill pointed out that there's enough gearheads here to throw together an easy and fun event of some kind with the CarJunkieTV forum members. What do you think? We're kind of jammed right now so it would be great if we could do California/Arizona/Nevada, but we'd love a quick 'n' dirty track day or road trip to get see old friends, meet new ones, and get some coverage.

Any ideas? Let's hash it out here and see if we can get a group together.

Well - I would nominate Sacramento (my home track) because it is an old school track that is pretty racer friendly and is located pretty well for pulling in NorCal, Central Cal, Bay Area, Reno, Southern Oregon racers. AZ is a bit of a haul but I know guys who have done it.

What kind of lead time are you thinking of?

Hmmm, there are some interesting spots around that could work for sure. Maybe some of you start out in small groups and keep gathering folks along the way?

Can I bring the mini bike?!!!

Sacramento is a cool track. I just raced there a couple weeks ago at there Wednesday Night Street Legal Drags. Lots of fun. I made seven runs in two hours!!

We could somewhere closer to LA like Famoso or head out to Vegas for their Friday night Midnight Madness.

Hell, I'd show up to Irwindale on a Thursday night.

It's great that you folks out west can do these things. Just don't forget us in the Midwest. Sometimes I wish I had stayed in Cali. Then I remember earthquakes are harder to prepare for than blizzards.

I spend my time rolling between Ely, NV and Fontana, CA. Las Vegas is dead center between the two and I've gone as far south as Tucson, AZ when need be, so I'm in the area ;D What's the plan?

i guess this would be the best place to ask how many texans are here. if there's more than we should we make a trip to the texas mile? show the west coast they're more than just 2 hours behing the times? ;D

                          Keith,

The left wheel well of the van was not the one you were using when you passed out. So unless you are trading, I believe David's half would be the left rear. I better start practicing with this damn camera. Don't you think?

Full chimp is the mode David put my little camera on. It's one of those cut little ones that fits in your pocket. He said the fancy big one is mine once I don't need something in full chimp. I have a feeling homework is coming.
