Kieth - You didn't say -- At least at Bonneville there won't be the need to do the Maxton Shuffle with the quick dry

Seriously glad nothing worse happened!!! More than happy to sweep up a little as needed than to worry about someone.

For those of us who have never stayed at the bend in the road - Can you shower in town - KOA? perhaps.

There is a truck stop less then one mile away, right at the highway exit, where you can get a shower and hot meal.

I'm enjoying reading everbody's comments. We called the Peppermill Casino and got reservations for two nights. That will cut our travel time & we'll right there in the thick of it. This year's Speedweek will be a total blast.

              Re: Speed Week 2008

I think I'm going to bring the nose that we have now for the camaro just in case it runs really good, we can run it legally in comp coupe, because that thing is seriously slick, and works extremly well. I want to put the thing back in the tunnel with that front end to see what the numbers are, but its not worth the $700 for an answer. I think I may have to put the "Keith Turk made this possible" on the back of my window too, considering we'll prolly end up running a complete engine setup from his "scrap" parts. Anyways, speed week should be a real blast... I'm really looking foreward to it.

Hmmm...you gonna build a bellypan to qualify for Comp Coupe? We'd loan you one if you can go find it in a Utah landfill comewhere.

And Turn leftovers means D motor...which in Comp Coupe means 245 mph...which means about 850 hp...which means you're on BIG nitrous forever...which means driving over the crank at the the four mile. Turk has seen that movie a few times and the ending never changes.

And if you're doing a D motor, it's the same scenaro, but the parts fall out while seeking a 270 mph record.

                So what's your goal?

The concept of the ending doesn't change... but the particulars are always interesting...

( Just which parts are laying on the ground this time )

There will be four of us from England there, arriving on the Sunday.
Two of us were at the 50th... seemed only right to do the 60th too !
Only problem is last time I promised I'd bring my car over the next time.
Ain't gonna happen... well, not this year anyway.

Looking forward to seeing some good friends again ! ;D

Be good to see you and the lads again. It's been way too long. I need to dig out my Watford Rods t-shirt and bring it. Also really looking forward to showign you Big Olds all completed. You and the boys have been there since day one with this project and I'm happy you get to see him finished in person.

Of course that's 8 months away.
