For weeks I avoided the 1000 bottles of beer thread, figuring it wouldn't be of any interest to me at all. Well, I opened it. It was literally a 1000 bottles of beer on the wall countdown. Are you guys f*&king kidding me? R U that f#&king bored? I like to be pretty active, and get bored easily. "BUT", if I EVER get THAT bored, run me over a few times will ya please?

I just think for supposed "car junkies" this type of nonsense, if not discouraged early, could be the beginning of the end of the board. I'm on other boards where the "content" gets encouraged to be of the nature to alow the board to grow. I don't think 1000 bottle of beer fits. If 1000 bottles doesn't seem juvenile to you guys, I APPOLOGIZE! But, from where I'm standing, it's dumb, off base, and will cause some to lose interest in a hurry. And thats low balling it . Check it when I get up sometimes . 4:45am for 10 or 15 min go to work get of stop by the library use there computer (faster and the kids don't get so upset) get home 1hr. later work in the garage for a few hrs. eat and then get back on at around 10: till..............Comment

I've been on this board since the 2nd day, I think. I have posted maybe 5 times in the "word association" thread and maybe 2-3 in the "5 words or less". Pretty sure I've never posted in the 1000 bottles thread (but I can't honestly say I remember). Point is, it's there if you want to play, and very easy to ignore if you don't. If people want to do that because they feel better about having more posts than the next guy, good for them. If people just think it's funny, very well. I don't think these topics will be the downfall of carjunkietv, and I don't see why a few goofy threads are such a bad thing.Comment

I have seen the same threads on boards and i just disregard them. Hell on my local car club forum i used to make a 1000 posts a month at one point its dropped off now to about 400 but then again i am on more forums and only have so much time lolComment
