OK, I got this idea from Gail's Stuff that I think is cool! thread when Gail posted the picture of the hand cranked Ice Crusher and had us guessing, so post up a picture of something old or out of the ordinary and see how long it takes for someone to step up and identify it. It's the arm for a big mixer like a Hobart for restaurant use. Don't stick your hand into the bowl until this thing stops spinning or your arm will be the same shape. Saw that happen once.

Got a lot of former restaurant employees on here I see! It is a dough hook for a 60 quart mixer to be exact. Scott is also correct that you do not mess with it until it stops moving unless you just can't wait to go to the emergency room. That particular one is about 2 feet long and used to make 100lb batches of dough. Bones will give long before it does.
