Re: Should I stay or should I go?

In my trade things must be a bit different. Last four places I've not given notice, in fact the one place I walked out with out even saying good bye, they kept calling me for a couple weeks and I blew it off, couple months later we talked and they still wanted me back, fourteen months later I went back to them for more money and a supervisors position. My point is if your a good employee it won't mater they'll take you back if you need to go back. Also it'd be a cold day somewhere before I get an ass chewin over Mr Clean. Just my opinion, my trade is a bit different.

You may be able to just tell your putting in your notice and tell them your not going to be able work all your hours the next couple weeks, put it in there hands and maybe they'll ask you to leave.

Don't burn the bridge - but IMO opinion for this reason:

Whether or not the company you work for is run by satan himself; how you carry yourself in your business and personal life is by far the most important thing to consider.

Give notice, because it's what good, upstanding people do.

          And also IMO:
I respect people who do the right thing when it costs them the most; because those people are ones I know I can count on when I need to rely on something they say.
Doing it all wrong since 1966

There are also companies that when you give your 2 weeks notice they escort you to the door right then and there so it may work out for you in the end.
