  • Dang.

Close family friend passed today. He had known Dad for 40 some years from the Air National Guard, and Dad is upset by this. And I discovered that my engine is on it's way out. Why do all these things happen on one day?

                    Re: Dang.

Prayers for you and your family.

Loss is a painful learning lesson of life we all must endure, it's painfull, but there's no avoiding it.

Take the time grieve - and take the time to just be there for your Dad - it's tough to put emotions to words at times like these - probably just a walk in the fresh air or a similar Father / Son time together will help him put things into perspective.

As for the engine - investigate before leaping to conclusions - I once rebuilt an engine that was burning oil - only to discover that the burning oil was coming from a broken fuel pump diaphram!

There's always something new to learn.
