With wrecking yards dissapearing, and the source of older non-catalog type parts hard to get,how often do you use sources like ebay?
I surf it every 24 hrs.I has really helped me with my Model A.

    Re: Ebay parts

I used Ebay a lot to find all the rest of the parts I needed to convert my Impala from auto to stick. I ended up with clutch pedals and some of the linkage from a wrecking yard 66 Impala. The bell housing, trans, shifter, linkage, clutch and fly wheel came in the original purchase. I used ebay for a 383 flywheel, clutchfork, original clutch I used, and another Hurst shifter. I used Classic Industries for the upper clutch rod, frame bracket, pedal pads. Summit for a adjustable pivot ball, linkage washer kit, new Hurst stick. PAW for current clutch.

I've used ebay for a few other parts and pieces for the car, but the most successful place for me was the swap meets.

Ebay is the ONLY place to find affordable parts for my Fury...there is a very nice yard out here with acres of classics and he has 9 66-65 Sport Furys but he wants waaaaay to much for the parts....I check every 24 hours for new parts

        Re: Ebay parts

I have used ebay to buy and sell parts. I go to the swaps all the time to and the swaps are the most fun but sometimes the WWW is the only way to find that really hard to find part. We set up at the swaps and sell our insulation and Kelly watches the store while I go shopping.

At the present time E-bay is the way to find certain parts. Swap meets are a very good source also if you do not mind weedin' through the junk. ;D

There are no real swap meets close to where I live.

I'm just getting ready to start a new 1:1
project, and plan on using the heck out of epay.
From what I can tell by surfing around the site, there are quite a few bargains to be had.
