the 69 on the other hand

I remember the yugo stuff too, I was in high school. My lesson in boxer engines had a yugo involved. One guy had a brat and yugo, (we thought he was a rich kid) we all knew that boxer needed defense, throw the yugo away.

    Here I am today.

Just yesterday, a 68 firebird with the disco flaming light lit front end went sailing though with an amazing sound. All that reflective bling and still dim lights..

Maybe we think something is ugly the first time we see it...on the other hand it's possible to be around cars too much, then find certain ones start to bug you. I'll be enjoying my small-block Camaro, thank-you...the '68 Firebird 400/4spd convertible project I had for awhile got essentially traded off for the Corvette project.

Least favorites once were the slab-quarter Buicks as with the OP, but now I like them. Same w/ some Fords I used to think were pretty ugly.

Our '59 Chev 348 ragtop was for a period of years in the sixties/seventies considered the epic of awfulness, now lots of people love it. There was a guy in a new ZR-1 just last weekend w/ his Iphone glued to it...but I suppose that didn't mean he liked it...

I used to hate 70 Super Bee's, but now I love them and wish I could find one decent and cheap!

I love the 68 Charger but they went down hill fast after that -
                  These are ugly as sin.

Yep, the company that led global vehicle sales for 77 consecutive years from 1931 through 2007 (longer than any other automaker), with such brands as; Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick, Oldsmobile and Pontiac got it all wrong.

The Cuda and Challenger for '70 kinda sucked up all the good looks for MoPar I guess. 70 Superbee is still fugly even if DF tried to make them cool.

AMC Marlin and the first gen Chargers. I just really don't like the "fastback" styling they had going on.

I'm not sure I'd go so far as Anything .... I might dig on a 455 BBO powered Corvair!
