      the photo..
it is a wonder how they could even overheat.
What was up with the heat? the exhaust interacting with the intake?

We loved the air force trucks with the slant six, maine is windy and cold as hell on the flightlines.
the shortbed slant six truck..the favorite.

9.4 is pretty good, 10.5'd be sweet.. Probably need premium fuel if you run the 10.5?
I'm sure with your cam, timing setting and all that little IMPORTANT stuff, you will be fine running low grade with the higher compression.
And most of all, what car/truck it goes into..

Going right back into what it came out of, the 1968 Dart on page one. Should.make.260-270 hp with a very good ported head and the big valves.

And you'll have to leave the hood open often, so folks can see it. Which means, you're going to have to drive it around a lot!

Jim, I plan on driving it a lot. I really liked it even when the motor was junk. Just installed the pump p/u so I can add baffles to the pan.

Stock pan will uncover pickup and lose.oil pressure. Added baffles to stock.slant six.pan.

Ok. I have not started on the head yet. I want to get the short done today, and this will have to wait a while.

Milled, ported head stuffed with big valves, how many RPM are you looking to turn with this engine?
