        I filled up in Tucson about 10 days ago for $1.18, there's a little gas price war in one part of town, just off the freeway.

        Down to 1.55 here where I live. And gas buddy reports that today AZ had the lowest state price average. Interesting. I'll never understand how this stuff works.

        • State taxes usually account for some of the differences.
          Looks like Texas is lowest and Oklahoma and Kansas a little more expensive.

            • NY has about the same taxes as CA, from what I read a while back. about 50c per gallon.

              • must be getting closer to summer or spring break or something, the junk has gone up 30 cents a gallon overnight around here.
