Saw 1.899 for Regular 87 in Springfield, Ohio today, not much fluctuation around the Dayton-Springfield-WPAFB area. We're usually a little higher than most of the state.Stew K.

Our fuel has gone down significantly too. It's down to a "mere" $5.83 a gallon now. Not bad, considering it was $8.37 a gallon exactly a year ago.~Alain~

There's a difference in registration fees we pay for diesel powered cars though. For a Chevy Malibu sized car on regular gas, we pay $821 a year. For the same car on diesel, it would be $1607 a year. All the prices I've mentioned above are including our 21% sales tax. Owning and driving a car is not cheap in Holland.~Alain~

that's amazing that the fee on diesel cars would be higher. i thought the thinking in europe was to encourage diesel use.
does the netherlands get most their oil from the middle east? is the 21% sales tax in addition to other taxes placed on gas? in the states, the reason there is a differance in prices for gas is because each state has it's own set of taxes.Bruce, Sanford, Fl
