Somewhere between Feb. and 2 weeks ago during which I for 2 months and it sitting for awhile and an actual certified mechanic HAD it for two months my car has developed a slight whistle at certain engine loads and rpms . Its just so great to be driving the $2750 vette that it doesn't really bother me too much . Is it wrong if I just pretend its a turbo whistling ?

whistles are worth nothing.
carbs have an excuse, especially 1 barrel.
I had one that whistled backwards out a check valve I added..throttle off after 3k rpm. I actually made it a whistle to hear when it does it.
I don't admit that often.

Drove it up to Peru , Indiana to see the Auto Cross that Dave Nutting drove his Monte SS down for . Got to meet him and Bishir . Just told them it had a turbo , you think they believe it ?
