Torque converter bolts loose?

Funny thing about Torque Converter bolts missing, I pulled the engine in my Centurion today (to temporarily put in the Skylark ;D ) and while removing the torque converter bolts, with two out, turning the crank from the front to get the third the flex plate made the metal clang identical to when the bolts loosened up on my Firebird.
