Oh Bob, you make it too easy

because even if it did give you a lobotomy at the neck, nothing would be lost....

I always thought it was a poor design or an oversight. The possibility of it being engineered to prevent decapitation never occurred to me.... but yes, if you have an old car or truck - especially one of these trucks - oil your hinges!

There was an oil embargo in the 70's... apparently it was SO expensive, people didn't use it on things like hood hinges for mile long hoods with pumpkin chunker springs, or 300 pound doors. 100k miles was considered high mileage for a reason!

I remember that time well. The oil tankers lined up off the Jersy coast by the refineries full of oil just sitting there.

Nice looking truck Chris. It would match the Nova. There is none of that style in my area that isn't a rust bucket. I have had a few over the years but they all had mud in the fenders and needed cab corners. Nice thing is LMC has everything for those trucks cheap. Good luck.

This one is only 10 hours south. If things go well, we are hoping to drive down this weekend and drive it back.

Other then the wheels that looks exactly like the C10 I drove at the Chevy dealer when I delivered parts. It was a 73 with a 307.That looks like a 73-75?
