Glad to hear you are all right. All the other stuff can be fixed, more or less.

When we lived in Houston, we had several close encounters with lightning. One night we were sleeping and a big storm come up. Not a big deal until this tremendous BOOM that knocked us out (really - out) of the water bed. Between us and the next house - about 20' - was a 90' pine tree. That got hit, split it down the middle. It was about 5' from the neighbors house and blew up every computer and TV in their house. Didn't hurt a single thing in our place.

John McGann's Crown Vic shot one out along with the threads. Nice. My fleet mgr at Ford says it's common on the truck 5.4's, but hasn't ever heard one on a 4.6 like Johns.

That was my Lightning on PT last year. Spit a plug out in the middle of Iowa. Got her fixed up and back on the road in a couple hours and all was well. ;D

a friend of ours spit a couple of plugs out of his 5.4 I didnt know it was a common problem!!

I wasn't aware of it until Bob's blew out on PT last year and apparently it is a common, fairly known problem.
