He may not know how that trickled to other realms.
when a crew chief with 3 stripes tells a 2 star general he will not be flying the plane today..
    they listen.

I hope he knows he was a hero..the fault was not allowing his real opinion.

I won an award for writing, 10 years old or so.
    about a space ship in a tree..1983
    titled "the time machine"
    it was before the disaster.

my mom wanted to know why it was in the tree.... Click image for larger version

    I could not answer.
This is how I drew trees, from kindergarten to 10 years old.

She thought I had a calling to be a serious mechanic. The tree looked like the explosion photo...drawn 3 years ahead.

    I became one, for a kc135.
my real inspiration is my dad, an owner operator trucker.. from cali to canada east, always by himself.
he did everything. I swore he reeled in time like a book..thinking of others, and hazards of trucking in the old days..
alot of mechanical chores, I used to watch him, when I was a small boy.

    anyway.
    I only suffered one coworker..
it nearly cost my life. Not plane related.

    Still lying to himself today.
I busted butt, predicted the plane would too..
    that was 1992.

In 2008, "the butt" broke off and killed all onboard.

if I say, "time to park them..."
    they won't listen.
as they inflate to the dough boy image of a man they think they are..
    strength of a homoerotic boy.

peace to Bob Ebeling. My Dad was only one of my heroes..

When a wing commander says he is "born and bred for this stuff."

    time to walk away.

I read he went into coma, just giving a last interview..
      digs up the past.

      ptsd 100% p&t ...the V.a. would say.

I hope he gets a monument.
workers do what he did for a living, only silently.

he was not only out loud, it was the biggest air event in the world.

missing his "godspeed" was a bad idea.

I read an article about him maybe a year ago, an up close and personal thing....however it was written. And we are subject to how it was written, whoever wrote it, and it seemed in that story he blamed himself for that for a whole long time.

But he did what he could, when you're sitting in a room full of other people and you're the only one saying, "Don't launch" and everybody else poo-poos you for whatever political or financial reason....he did what he could. And nobody listened. I don't think I'd be ridden with guilt about the outcome. In that setting, I told them the truth and they didn't listen. THEY (all those others) should bear the burden. If they don't, they should. Not me. The biggest burden would be to NOT say, "Don't launch," and know that you should have said it when you had the chance.

He said it, they didn't listen.
