With all the new stuff for "W" motors,

& the great pieces available through Lamar Walden,

including anything up to turnkey crate engines,

    it's a great time for a 409 project! -- 8)

I'm SURE our Groucho could find a Timing-Cover in all that stuff ;),it's just a shame Philly's so far away :P. I personally would'nt mind having the Blue '69 Biscayne 2-Door. ~OO6.

Since the 65 Impala was the last car to get those 409's; I'd love to have one for mine.

That article on the stroker 409 and the design makes it just look like it needs a turbo.

Back in the day.........I transplanted a 348 in my'59 Chevy and had a '55 Chevy Belair with a 348 tri power....I thought they were great motors. Still would like to have a 409 someday.

When I was a kid in the early 60's, my cousin who use to do a little street racing bought a brand new 425 HP, 63 409 Imp. I was about 7 at the time, I can still hear the transmission whine and the engine, what a rush that was!
