I got the sube in a shreak bordering a rice rocket..
and its a boxer with a 1 barrel carb.

I seem to make an ass of its maker...
    and I made its ass.

I gotta find something to keep that antique registration active.
    I like their ideas..
    the 24 lemons.

It's like a LeMons Power Tour! I wish I could do it!
      I'm probably wrong

I've got the perfect car for that. Too bad it's on the wrong coast. I really need to move.

if you drive it to California (and back home), then the rally will seem like childs play.

so no one is adventurous enough?

I've been scouring CL in a 500 mile radius, I found several good candidates, and today I found the one that might be it....more to come

First I've heard of such a thing. Sounds...Oh gosh it's trying to pull me in...maybe gotta put a bigger motor in the '63 Wagoneer...

the only criteria I'd have is working A/C. August in those locations is miserable.

that's one of my criteria...no AC. Why bother going through death valley if you have a nice cushy car?

funny, in 30 degree weather I'm in shorts - were we to do a race across the midwest in the dead of winter, you'd be all over having a heater or at least heavy clothes. Perhaps you just don't realize how much of a jerk you sound like across the internet?

or, I'd be where it's warm, which isn't up there!

                        What are the vehicle rules?

Im sure I could convince my cousin to do this... And I found 2 great possibilities- a 351 powered 86 ford LTD, and a 84 grand marquis woody-wagon. Both already in Cali! 600 and 900 asking prices.

I'm searching for a pre-1950 2CV to stick on a beetle floor pan for the bonus points.....just need a goofball theme to apply....

I'd run Haley's Mustang if it didn't guarantee my untimely death in a gruesome manner. It's got A/C and patina for days. In reality, I'd be hunting for a Chrysler Fifth Avenue with functional A/C...those button-tufted seats just make the miles disappear.
                            Editor-at-Large at...well, here, of course!

i would do it but the cost in gas to drive the grand am out there (when it runs) would be enough to fund a small 3rd world country for 3 years
