    most of us could handle this topic..

    Nothing wrong with those. American V8 cars used to be everywhere, in nearly everything. You could get a Malibu 2 dr, 4dr, and a wagon, ALL with everything from a 307 2bbl to a 454. Pontiac, Ford, Chrysler, (etc) the same.
    If the guys are truly gearheads, and are trying to improve the cars performance, that is fine with me. I do not want the 'sport' to fade away, and don't want to take a death stance like NSRA did up until a few years ago with their "pre 1948 only" rule.
