I was at reddit (new member, after all the years its been online), got an impression a match making sight called Tinder was fun... easy going.
no porn or misaligned madness.
I get veered off to Zoosk, which seems friendly enough
I go to fill out my profile, after getting matched to my age group ...
and got a sick feeling.
what is wrong with me.
I have realized all internet social to me is pretentious, I rarely get a conversation going unless it is about machinery.
All this time, since the 90s hacks throwing porn everywhere, making fake id's of my life...
all the trouble with the veterans website called ebenefits...
on and on and on.. even my bank went belly up and took my few dollars.
I think I actually have a fear of the internet...or more so, false climbers getting away with being fake.
reminds me of a fag in a combat unit
Yet 12+ hours a day online. not far form my computer.
Seems strange to admit it. I am living a paradox.
I don't even want to upload a profile pic now.
I was going to share this on facebook. But no..I am more content here with hot rod people.
This began as it did in the 90s...I was much younger with more drive. I thought 150% of the people around me are in a shape and state of mind that will leave me single forever.
I am trying to get over that. trying the net one more time.
I give up.. it now demands a phone app.
oh well. I tried.

Dan Stokes specific....
You see all kinds of interesting stuff at General Motors’ Milford Proving Grounds. Things like Corvettes, and also Camaros. But one of our intrepid spy photographer friends caught a very unusual Camaro testing out there recently—both because of its age, and what’s apparently under the skin.My hobby is needing a hobby.

I just added up nine nieces and nephews.
A bit like my 2 brothers and 1 sister
they are all dark hair/eyes except for one blond niece.
my sister was the only blond
3 to 1...
that went to 8 to 1
genetics. Always interesting.Previously boxer3main

Negative me here again. Is this the most boring car summer ever? NHRA is the same NHRA it's been the last 10 or even 20 years. Drag Week is fizzling. No Prep is Yes Rules. The Show and Shine and Street Cruise events haven't offered up much. A few new rides on Power Tour. What gives?
O.K., positives. What is the most interesting thing to YOU? The new Corvette? Is that the ONLY thing new?My hobby is needing a hobby.

I don't like the new NHRA format..........it makes me stay up late to see Pro Stock. The 'up close and personal' consists of too many interviews. I tune in for the racing.
Are the Top Fuelers spinning more tires this year, or is it just me?
What makes the CAPCO teams so consistent?
So many questions, so little time.Last edited by oletrux4evr; July 29, 2019, 07:27 PM.Ed, Mary, & 'Earl'

I quit watching Pro Stock since there’s zero variety. I am looking forward to going to the US Nationals this year though. I will be watching every round of Stock, Super Stock, and the SS/AH Hemi Shootout. Plus, Big Dave will be accompanying me and attending his first National event! what is fur of white
walks at night
and leaves bananas in the back of gmc trucks.
riddle.
I just caught the banana bandit.. it is dark out.. hefty paws, white breasted/chested. It didn't even rattle a leaf as it escaped in what looked like a back flip into the wooded area touching the back of my truck.
I am assuming a cat
I may have found it...
the shape on this martens chest
no worse than the black wildcats my neighbors ford attracted.
something too smart happening to be a cat.
there is no squirrels, chipmunks, frogs..not even crickets.
I was blaming a fox...
that shape on the chest is what I saw.Last edited by Barry Donovan; August 7, 2019, 06:38 PM.Previously boxer3main

My mid august poem about maine
The full moon is bright
not a cloud in the sky
Standing outside.
A look to the north
for what it is worth
My cold breath sighed.
A lone cricket is warm
singing to a silent swarm
A last resort to hide.
In the summer sun today
a monarch and white admiral play
In their last place to reside.
The night is still.
Has everything died..?
It flows down the hill
As if it were a spill
in the valley to the ocean tide
Quite a chill
against my will.
I stand next to my warm ride.
Creaks and moans
the cooling steel
as if moving frozen stones,
and how I feel.
In the path of the glacier
Winter is coming.

finally...
a black woman showed up in the dna.
its only 23cM..but she is there.
I have a first cousin who would be interested in that finding.
I was targetting a surname, proven canadian/american diverse. A very old french story.
I was looking and looking...could not find anything.
I have 1 cousin that not only married black, she being quite caucasian. Her son is very healthy in the marines. Very rugged guy. He ended up staying black. My mom and aunt laughed one day about some ancestor we may never know about.
I am not laughing.
I think we all know when we got more family.
