  • The 'Watery-Tart' 350.

The Twins have found & bought a '74 350/TH-350 combo out of a '74 Nova 4-Door. Yard owner pulled it and put it aside,an employee draped a simple Blue Plastic Tarp over it. It's been out in the weather for roughly a week & 3 days. Question:----Is there a chance some Water got inside it(where the Valves were open....)while it was sitting there? Any little tips & tricks before they take it home? ~J/W-OO6.

Actually, this RAN as of 10 days ago. The TH-350 had lost Reverse, but, that Transmission will be taken off(and eventually rebuilt...)and replaced with another Tranny. Seems the Girls are just going to replace the 'dead' TH-350 with another Tranny they've got laying around and just throw it in their Camaro....just as a stand-in for the Summer months. ~J/W-006.

Were the spark plugs out? Was the air cleaner off? If both were left in/on ...run it and have fun!

Thank-Ya-much :D!! Of course, things like the Plugz/Wires/Cap/ect. WILL be replaced. The Carb is quite clean, the Filter looks new(Oil is clean, plus we've found several Recipts in the Car from '08 for Plugz & a Cap.....Car also had new Shocks & Stabaliser Bushings, among some other stuff....). And I myself heard the Engine run,Car was seen around the area running around up untill it wound up in the Yard about a month ago. ~J/W-OO6. P.S. The Air-Cleaner & Plugz were still in the Engine,"CarPlayLB" 8).
