White letter tires? On a 60s or 70s vehicle, street machine/cruiser, with styled wheels as in not steelies and hubcaps.... like my 65 GTO.

I know what I like, what do you dig?

Part of the dilemma is the tires are Cooper Cobra, not BFG, Goodyear, or Mickey Thompson. If it was any of those three, the letters go out no matter what. Coopers are cheap tires, and not nearly as cool looking, so it leaves me wondering what you guys think.

Cheapo "temp" tires... Black out. Name brand, depending on look, usually white out.. My 57 is black with belair fin top trim and one simple trim down the quarter from mid door back.. I like all black tires. Had letters out on others, liked the look, but generally I like black out. Hasd Crager SS's but they went south so now trying to save up for 14/15 tires for the slotted dish mags I need to make sure my 14's fit over my disc brake kit (Chevelle)

. The new vette has 275 40 17 tire I dont think they make letters small enough .
I personally am at the point that if it doesnt actually make it faster , then it is sort of poser-ish .
Now that said the most powerful top three engines I've had including the new toy is 300hp 275hp and now back to 300 . Maybe I need white letters .lol

Nuts, I thought this was about Hamburgers.

Now that I see what it is about, I vote 'in'. Slicks excepted.

Letters are becoming popular again, lots of people painting the letters on "modern" size tires.

Another vote for "who cares what the brand is".
