The kid has the anti lock light on in her 01 Escape with about 165K miles. I'm thinking worn hub(s) is setting the light off. What's a good brand from Rockauto?

Im a chevy guy so this is all I have to help . Buy the original brand . I went with cheap to middle of the road at autozone and napa . I was changing them every 3 months . Went to the junk yard and got a couple used one and the bearings stopped going out . Can you take the sensor out and clean it ? Ive seen both ways on g.m.

I'll check for junk on them. Thanks for the suggestion. I can't argue about OEM quality. I have to change ball joints on my Escort DD. Changed with I don't know what and they're shot. This was last year. About 20K on them. I think they were AZ. Bought Moog this time.

those sensors are cheap...replace those too.
as it turned out given the work record of my gmc..
        the sensors went bad.

        both of them.
not sure the odds, but I get lightning fingers into all my machines here in the maine woods.

we read up on this... what we found was that even with high quality hub assemblies, there was a minimum of grease inside the hub... we have gotten into the practice on these gm trucks of removing the ABS sensor and using the rubber tipped grease nozzle, pumping the cavity full of grease before re installation of the sensor and installing the hub... also, be sure to torque the CV shaft nut to the proper specification as it is critical to the bearing preload...

I've had great success with Timken hub assemblies from Rock Auto. The others - no...... Even the box is better made.
