Not to shabby for a family hauler. Has there every been a factory stock station wagon pull that kind time? Don't get me wrong, I would way rather have an old '64 Kingwood with a 409 or something, but I could probably talk the wife into the one of these. ;)

14.5's would have not been much of a stretch for big block Chevelle wagons. There's a guy up here that has a Ford wagon that was factory optioned with a 429CJ that hauls some ass.

saw a malibu 400 once - it was a 402 , but , I never saw any non ss chevelles with a big block until 73
monte carlo had a bib block from 70-75

the only reason a big block wouldn't be in the low 14s would be pathetic gears or blowing the tires off

You typing that phrase is like the "Duke" parading around in a pink tutu....just ain't right. ;D

On topic, that setup would make a Ford Flex interesting.......perhaps some more tuning/tweaking would yield more HP.

Personally, I'd take that further-tweaked setup in one of the late'80's Fox-based Lincoln LSC's......now THAT I'd call a Hot Rod Lincoln.
