  • I'm ashamed... RIOTS

So? Protests become riots.... Nbr of people and damaging banks, recycling boxes of cardboard ablaze as well as newspaper boxes...
    Without politics... Why?
Is it because everybody got "participation trophies" and nobody "wins" that the rioters do not know how to lose gracefully?
"Don't Shoot Portland" became something else.. It is no longer politics but criminal...

    Thoughts without making it political?

Steve, lock it or throw it out if you think it is too political... I think it bypassed political into criminal..

They are protesting democracy, as most were for Bernie.. a socialist..

I'm not shocked at all of the riots.. it's what they do... And it wont stop until we start punishing them for it..
Blocking traffic/road is against the law... they should've been cuffed and stuffed..
What if your family member didn't get to a hospital because of these spoiled brats..
For years those that riot, or protest blocking roadways have been allowed to.. while the police stand and watch..
THis needs to change.. As long as there is no punishment for riots/looting/ public safety hazards.. it won't stop..
I'm also sure this thread will be locked as it's taboo, subject, don't want to offend a snowflake

Their world is collapsing. Common sense and rule of law is returning. AND THAT'S A GOOD THING. They don't like good things.

Ummmm.....follow the money.......the Clinton machine, Media Matters/Soros, NWO.....they have been funding this crap all along.

These are no "protestors". Simply paid actors/thugs performing their assigned roles for the "media" cameras to file for the 24/7 "news" pay-per-view cable/satellite channels to propagandize with.

I can't emphasize this enough. Everyone needs to turn off the tube and go outside, meet your neighbors, find a hobby, and participate in life. Way too much of vicarious living brought to us by the tube.

Ban me for being political, that's fine. But know this, I am done being silenced. POlitical Correctness for too long has consisted of silence and acceptance for the doers of this country.

My opinion is just as valuable as those "rioters" opinions, and I am capable of delivering my opinion without being destructive.

Maybe the mods are letting us blow off some steam...

In the American system individuals cannot be presidents for life, everybody gets a chance to vote in a whole new administration every four years. In exchange for that deal we respect whoever our democratically-elected leader is as the product of our democratic system, for the duration. I think you could go back over everything I've written anywhere and not see a single public word of real disrespect toward the President of the United States whoever they were (despite some private grumbling), I would not have marched against Hillary if the will of the people had elected her, so I have about zero care for these children who are destroying other people's property or walking from their colleges onto freeways chanting their slogans now. Same for all the other attention-seekers and bawlers including anyone who just wanted a leader of a particular race or gender whatever that may be, for the novelty or whatever.

Today's Wikipedia featured article has the one on General George Patton, for Veteran's Day I suppose. Although like many of us that are interested in military history I know the story, I went ahead and read just about the whole thing again (it's a long one). There was a lot of controversy around that guy including poor grades, affairs and bragging, a few risks that went bad and especially saying dumb things (which eventually brought him down). However, I think his story was summed up well with this: Historian Terry Brighton concluded that Patton was "arrogant, publicity-seeking and personally flawed, but ... among the greatest generals of the war" Imagine if Patton had been getting the MSN eight-negative-articles-a-day treatment the whole time he was busy trying to carry out his crazy tasks that were beyond the capability of normal humans, sometimes beyond him.

Suck it up kiddies and back the man now while we try to take the amount of money you owe in the world, much of it to foreign countries, back down to where it was eight years ago. You will be the beneficiaries of that.

                  ------------------------
Thanks for letting me state my piece, back to cars now. See my projects thread in a couple days, the last boat was wind-powered...the new one makes wind via a Ford 460 and since I am not a Ford guy this should be interesting.

The hypocrisy of it all is just dumbfounding. The left cries that the "uneducated hillbillies" elected Trump, yet those that support the left agenda are the ones that resort to tantrums, rioting and destruction when their candidate loses.

In a twisted sort of way, it's actually quite entertaining to watch them implode.

Rioting is just plain wrong in a society that has open elections.

Its simply an attempt to provoke a response.

That response (by authorities/feds) would then be exploited as an attempt by the party-in-power to suppress opposition voters.

All part of the playbook. Let no crisis go to waste..........or a created crisis.

Those hurt by rioting usually are innocent....

                              So why injure them?
