I believe there was a 'V-8 VW van that ran at Maxton at one point. You have to admire the work and creativity involved in a build like that.

I know that a older gentalman ran one at the ecta at some point .I went to 2 or 3 events at Maxton and all but 3 at Ohio. I just can't remember where . So , it could have been both .

Yes, he came to Maxton a couple times, not sure about Wilmington.

The difference is that the one that ran at Maxton (I don't remember seeing him at Ohio) was a well built, classy little van.
