        if thats a 400 or a 455, i think you can do it.
        the 455 in my 66 GTO went 11.97 with "only"
        a 280/.565/108 hydraulic flat tappet and a single 750
        with a 2600 stall and 3.73's....

        interesting note--ALL V8 pontiac blocks are drilled & tapped for
        4 bolt mains- EVEN IF THEY CAME WITH 2 BOLT CAPS.
        pull a cap up and look underneath...
        all headbolts are "blind". ( dont go into water or oil passages).
        the "arma-steel" rods are REALLY tough, almost forged quality.


        they LOVE high lift short LC cams. dont run more than 3.90 gears
        as these are 'tugger' motors. and with all ARP hardware in the
        bottom, i spun my 455 to 6000rpm+ with ease....
