  • New Motor For the '99 Z28

    Got my new motor back form the Engine Builder today, it's a stroker LS1, looks like I'll be sweating my ass off this summer...

      LS1 stroked(4") to 382ci.... 11.2:1 compression, cam specs are 285/293 adv., 235/243 @ .050, .621/.624 lift, 113 LSA, Fast 92mm intake/throttle body. heads are cnc ported with 250cc runners and flow 311cfm. Any guesses on the HP??...

              screaming 500 at 6000.
              looks to be built way out there.

              I still don't get the high lift on big runners.

                Barry on LS motors running .620 lift is like running .520 lift on the old small blocks, it's just what you do....

                    That is for sure, my kid even said yesterday he misses riding in it. It'll be a whole new animal, I'm even redoing the Suspension, going to Strano springs and sway bars and Koni shocks, and finally getting tubular control arms for the front. Now just go to free up some time before it get to hot.

                            Dan I have one of these, so I stay pretty cool, but if it's July or August you're still sweating....

                              As the Joker said of Batman ...........where does he get all these nice toys ! LOL basically a personal air conditioner , Think the video I pulled up says it lowers temps as much as 30* . Pretty cool .
