I watched reruns, the early 1980s...and younger.
last I saw of that show.
I think it is my generation that watched such characters fade away...and it was reruns.
much too serious now.
RIP.
I remember mom or aunts using him as an example.. some food we did not want to eat.(she must have been a chest lady)

I've been watching The Big Valley reruns and he was on it last night as a mentally troubled col. Was probably 67 or 68 . Wasn't a bad actor in a serious roll . RIP
