I used the bucket from 2004-2013. I knew the end was near and got out when ads started getting plastered all over the site. Imgurs great, you'll love it.

It's been like five years this site's been hosting. Crop-resize on MS picture manager, hit "upload" instead of "image info", find the file and open, then "send it to the server". Takes much less time than Photobucket.

800 wide...seems like the site may have brought this down smaller, sometimes 800 or 850 takes up most of the width:

FWIW the 800 and 500 wide are displayed at the same size on my iPad, with the 300 about 2/3 their size.

I came to the conclusion that not everything on the net will be FREE forever, so I ponied up $39.95 for one year. That means I have a year for things to shake out and something cheaper to come along. In the meantime, I don't have to spend hours moving my pix.....

For those that haven't already heard (or found out the hard way), MS Picture manager is not included in MS Office 2013. You are supposed to buy it separately from the MS App store. Although, if you own an older version of MS Office, you can install the Picture Manager program from that older version in the new Office suite.

You can download basic Photoshop free, also
                    Adobe Illustrator.
I reduce the file size not the image size with Photoshop.

Photobuckets boasts users in the millions......
so just how much revenue do they expect
                    to raise ?
I understand their point about not getting paid for
an up until now free service but is'nt better all pay
a little than a few get screwed for a lot ?

This sucks hard.... I've read way more "how to" threads than I've written. (but the few I've written were helpful to a bunch of people)
The amount of important/useful information that is now gone, is pretty disheartening....
All of my pic links are trash...and I've been using PB since '04... Would take a LONG time to redo.

I've signed up to Postimage.org So far so good. Files uploaded quick. I used zip7 when I downloaded my photos from,PB. One thing that worked out for me at least, the old PB location info was attached as a description so it made it easy for me to know what pictures I needed where.

Another free program I use to resize and do other things is called Gimp. Its similar to old photoshop, so it will do quite a bit that we car guys want to do, resize and make collages with it. I made this one with it last week.

The emails I got from PB kinda "accused" me of
                              linking to a third party.
Well I got the impression that is what they offered
and they provided me with a link to copy to do just that.
With something like forty million users a $ each
                              would suffice.
