So with Mike acquiring this Olyenik Crew cab hauler and driving it to Pomona with Blasphemi inside, I think it is appropriate to bring this old dead thread up. I followed Mikes travels when he went to pick this thing up and was grinning at the various things that gave him trouble and his usual take it in stride repairs-LOVE that guy! From the Photos there is no sleeper in this truck, the body is all about storage and hauling. It is a 22 foot body I believe & IIRC the crew cab chassis was already stretched to the limit, no 24 ft body was offered in crew cab length. Nice looking truck but it needs what all the smaller trucks needed-a real truck rear axle with ginormous brakes-these things do not stop empty, much less loaded. I am hoping he gives it the same power treatment as his open truck-a modern diesel would make this thing even more awesome! Mike, you also need to quit calling that thing a ramp truck-in the day, when these were new, everyone would smile when you showed up and say "I see you got your new Olyenik!" or Oly-because they were know as Olyenik enclosed trucks or enclosed haulers.

Didn’t he end up with a couple of these?

another piece of racing history as well as one of the best thought out Oly haulers is currently available for 20k or so in Pa. Mentioned it in the Finnegan thread earlier today-the truck Grumpy had built when he finally got around to a real enclosed truck. This truck was on the west coast and I got to see it and crawl aroung it before the current owner moved it to Pa. 427 tall deck engine, 5 speed/2 spd rear axle, very nice condition. Current owner has done some mechanical refreshing and uses it semi regularly.
