  • As I understand, until the late 60's Holdens were designed in the US.

    This one would have been an Australian designed shape but I'm sure they still took a few cues from what was happening in the US.

      • I'm on YouTube and got myself into a bit of trouble with the boys.... ah well, hopefully it's all good now that the explanation is done.... don't use sealant on blind holes because you can hydraulic then break the threaded hole; use sealant on head studs because most of those do go into water... and finally, if you don't know whether it's blind or not - shoot some WD into the hole... if it fills, it's blind.

        ah well, still cool stuff and I'm fascinated with those heads and wonder if they'd bolt to a standard SBC.... they're not siamesed exhaust ports, so perhaps you'd get LS flow from them...

          No no good as they only have 4 bolts per cylinder.

                                hmmm, maybe we should file a complaint with the WTO it still impresses me that they can get the fuel to swirl the right way here in the US
