Dan, I'm not offended. But I do feel bad for you for being concerned about our collective mental health. This discussion is not only perfectly logical and intelligent, but moral-boosting and stimulating as well. If I wasn't religious, I'd send Positive Energy; I'll throw a prayer up for you instead.
and a Kick ass John Deere 3 Edger... a real live old school walk behind edger like God wants you to have... I think I built it back in 84... hard to start but works like stink!!!!K
You dare tease us like this? Homebuilt edger that's been in use since '84............. and no pictures? Agghhhh!!!

Of all the paths you take in life - make sure a few of them are dirt.
It really isnt mine at all but it was new in 95 or so and I,ve been
mowing with it since 98 and it has just under 1000 hours on it
that were run on it by me . It belongs to the quarry owned by
the company I work for and its an ExMark Turf ranger .
Been bouncing back and forth on that thing every summer for more
than the last 10 years !
At my parents house I have an "old" reel mower with a cast iron 1 1/2 hp
Briggs & stratton that I drug home from the neighbors when I was about
11 years old , it runs and was working ok yet . No idea what year but its
got to be way older than me.
Do y'all realise what a bunch of sick puppies we are? Here's 4+ pages of otherwise sensible adults rambling on about their love affair with their lawn mowing appliances. Notice I was right in there. We all need professional help.......
i'm looking for a 50's era push mower to play with. Does this make me sick too? :o
LOL...I was watching one of George Carlin's specials last night.
He got on the subject of "Now they have a mower called a "Snapper"...
to keep this discussion PG-13, he got into talking about a few women he dated, but never had a snapper that could mow a lawn... ;D
Man, speaking of which...almost a year to the day he left us. Man, if he was only around to make his remarks about things right now. :'( :-\

2020...Bad business decisions make for interesting stories. 2021...year of singing "99 problems but an asshole ain't one" 2022-2024...my GTS ate my motha' truckin' wallet but boy does she fookin' move now.
2025... I'm just trying to live my life and have fun.
I've got a couple of Gravely tractors that a buddy gave me. I think this one's a '68.
The other one's actually in much better shape overall, and it's a '57, but it needs a new crankcase gasket. I've got a bunch of attachments too, like a plow, a roto-tiller, and two 4' snow plow blades. They're pretty neat - full pressure oiling with a filter, 8 speeds, and a PTO on the front. There's a Gravely club, and they have an annual "mow-in".
