    A Corvette is just a car. It has a cost and a potential. The fact that both are extreme and the second rarely met by the average owner says it. Plus the factory differential assembly lacks durability I'm most cases.

    Plus few get DRIVEN, much or hard.

      That's a great point Rock. By the numbers. I've seen a rare few Vettes get driven to failure on race tracks. And one even wrecked and totaled, left on a rollback. But even those owners are .... let's say "uppity."

      The dangest thing I've ever seen at a race track was with me sitting in the passenger seat, that instructor who took me on a ride at Road Atlanta in that brand new smells-new Porsche 911 GT3 that he didn't even own. OMG. And Dave Auer took Sue Unit for a ride around Daytona in a 4-door Audi sedan at 150 mph. She got out and said she liked AMP better (the slower curvy eat your brakes track). Go figure.
