I used to not like the cowl induction hood as a Chevy thing and considered flat, no-glare black and a front opening scoop badass. Still LOVE this car but we're getting out-stanced quite badly here:

Actually there was talk of the Challenger going on to the Dart FWD platform, that is while there WAS a Dart FWD platform.

Never was a "Look-at-Me" Red kinda guy ... my current favorite, is the ice blue-silver metallic pearl that Mike Coy mixed for the Brian Bass / Gas Monkey "Monkeypecker" '34 Ford 5-Window Coupe, which was featured on a couple of recent 'Fast 'n Loud' episodes, in addition to the cover of HRM's March 2018 Issue.

Corvette had a color a few years ago called Inferno Orange. Looked like orange sherbet with a vanilla tint to it. Pretty in full sunlight.

Somebody somewhere ( I think at Gear Head Inn) said there's two colors of cars - red and ugly.

That car in the Post #1 photo, with these eyes at least, that looks to be the same color as Red is. In 2006 Ford called that Torch Red.

according to my mother, there are 3 colors never to paint a hotrod...
                        "gimme a ticket yellow"
                        "take me to impound orange"
                        and yes, "arrest me red".
