LS, Coyote or Gen 3 Hemi? Which is best?

If GM had let their top LS truck engines languish at a pathetic 210 hp to 231 hp for 11 years, would we even be talking about LS engines?

Apparantly they are supposedly easier to draw power out of than the 1st gen small block..
I do not have hands on experience but saw 4 in derby cars and they fly!
I kinda doubt any motor made power after 71-72??
