  • Cable Cutting (sort of)

Just got my Spectrum WiFi only. $20. They toss in a few channels in their app, notably Discovery. Discuss.... More options to come. USTV.com, etc.
My hobby is needing a hobby.

Pull the plug, work in the shop. That’s what we did 20 years ago, works for us. And not once have our boys missed it growing up, 13 and 16 now. Life is too short for the garbage on the tube.
Of all the paths you take in life - make sure a few of them are dirt.

I had a 5' satellite dish in the 90s. The channel selection was incredible but only watched a handful of channels. Once it started needing repairs the cost of ownership/maintenance was more than the value of what I watched. I tossed the dish, never switched back to cable, bought rabbit ears and a dvd player. That was twenty years ago. I spend much more time in the garage and don't miss any of it. When we travel and get the cable channels in a hotel room we marvel at some of the crap that passes for pay-tv entertainment these days.
