Finke is the number one desert race in Australia.

Toby Price is the number one Desert Racer in Australia, he won Dakar a few years back.

This is Toby trying to win both the Bike and Truck class at Finke.

I never got to a desert race, but did make it to Mount Panorama to watch the V8 supercars at the Bathurst 1000.
