So, you think a 94 dodge truck looks like a 2019?
    lens crafters is calling.
Guess all 1930's till 1960 trucks look the same because they have a v shaped hood for the most part, That don't go full width of vehicle. have headlights and a grill.
    right.
The Camaro and mustang look the same as the first retro model. other than different nose and tail cones. it's like say'n the 1977 t/a is a different body car than the 1979 because they put a different nose cone on it.

2005 mustangs look good. the new ones look like some kind of space alien shit.

a lot of the new chevys look like they've been taking their styling cues from Toyota. Never a good thing.

The first ones 2005 the front looks like it is crying, I like the next nose treatment as it doesn't look like a girls car as much.

Roll up! Roll up! Welcome to the wonderful world of the modern global auto industry! It's a billion dollar bet casino, and the rules are always changing! Snakes and ladders for grown-ups!

Pull out your crystal ball to guess what gas prices will be in 2025! What safety and fuel economy targets will you need to meet? What will people want to buy then? What will Apple come out with that you need to connect to? What will the other guys be selling?

The car manufacturers are already working on the 2022's, 2023's and even 2024 models. Those vehicles will be in the showrooms 5-10 years so until the 2030s in some cases.

Get it right, and you make some money and keep some people happy. Get it wrong, because you didn't correctly predict some global crisis or random event (Brexit, or Japan tsunami in 2011) and you can end up deep in the red with your global supply chain, or selling the wrong thing (sedans) because fashions changed.

At the end of the day it's a business - if less is coming in the door in sales than is going out in expenses, something's got to give (unless you can just print money and kick the can like a government). If you have a product line you can't make money on, then you have to shift to something else that works better.

Sometimes selling in more places makes it possible to keep a low volume car going - e.g. Mustang shares nothing with any other car Ford makes. But Ford made it a global car, which it means it has to meet those pesky European pedestrian safety requirements and have a soft flexy front bumper that goes all the way up the front of the car like a Fusion, Focus, ....

Is that the rear end that the Chevy boys mostly be seeing?

Fish, the newer Mustang noses look like fish. And not attractive fish either. More like Carp or some other bottom feeder.

that's what it is that bothers me about them. Unfortunately many new cars are adopting this look. ugh.

Fish are worshipped in Asian cultures. It is only natural. Only good fish car ever was the Barracuda, but only the name was fish-like. The '67-'69 ones were gorgeous, but then the time came to out-Camaro the Camaro. The E-Body was the perfect muscle car. Short, light yet still wide enough to offer all the comfort and powertrain room of a mid-size. Even though it was based on the Chrysler 300/Charger the new Challenger just couldn't help but be good.
