Might be taxed heavily for engines bigger than 2ltr.
Many countries do this. also fuel is costly so a v8 would not sell all that well

Yes, and oddly those folks stop and help others, the American dash cams almost no one stops to help, They just keep going.

I bet it is still tougher than a lot of the russian civilian past

                I would rather have a 800hp motor in a mustang than a 4cylinder engine w/ turbo in a 3700 lb. camaro .

                  If you can afford it.
vehicles with 70-100hp are taxed yearly at 12 rubles per horse power.
anything over 125 h/p it is 17 rubles per h/p
and a 800h/p mustang it be 25 rubles PER h/p.
So, 677.34 us dollars depending on exchange rate at the time. over and above other "tag fees" just for having a high h/p car. yearly.
Think many in USA would freak if they got hit/taxed/fees, on larger engines, and on any extra power the government "thinks" you don't need. every year when paying for the vehicle tags.
There is a reason much of the world outside the USA engines are 2ltr or less.

I know that applies to engines but does it apply to motors ?
