I know there are a lot of folks that don't look at Power Tour as a way to have automotive fun. That said last year was my first Power Tour and it was a blast. There are a few upgrades going on for my '65 Studebaker in anticipation of my second Power Tower this year. For me last year's initiation into the Power Tour club was one of the best automotive experiences I have ever had.
A lot of us CarJunkie Forum Freaks had so much fun on Power Tour, that when someone mentioned we should do one of our own so we could all catch up more than once a year and the BRP (Blue Ridge Parkway) Tour was born .. twice per year in September-October (BRP Fall Colors Tour) and again in March-April (BRP Spring Blooms Tour). First one was 2008 Fall (even had hoofhearted (Jim) make t-shirts) and I believe it was still going until recently at The Gearhead Inn / Music Emporium.
tanks tedly, my first tour was 2007. Its interesting to see which vendors were displaying back then. I caught some envy on that white 69 Custom S w/the GTO hood

2005 was my only full tour . We did a couple legs with the young couple who's red formula firebird got backed into . We were driving our red 87 GTA . I remember the indy replica from the Birmingham stop .

That Indy car was something else. Small block if I'm remembering right. Almost snapped my neck doing a double take when it pulled up.
