Have you Longhauled in it yet, or do you always take 'Earl' ?
Earl has done 9 so far, but the wagon may get the nod this year. I'm still hoping to have Mary's '40 ready.
So........Plan A - coupe
Plan B - Wagon
Plan C - Earl
Yeah, and it was too slow, too. Looked good, but it wasn't "pure." Not old enough. You have done well Rockhopper, striking a nerve of mine, and you didn't intend to at all. I've got the wrong car. I've been there, seen it, done it. Not a fit.
speaking of these cars, we get quite a few with the superchargers or turbos with a manual. Every one of them I push on the clutch and you think your leg will break before the pedal moves. The owners say well that’s just how they are made. No, you don’t drive it enough and the clutch cable is ready to break. We had one break once in the shop. The customer was completely amazed how easy the pedal moved with the new cable. I guess if it’s your car you get used to the way things are on it and don’t know wats right or wrong. I guarantee I’m the same way on my truck
my 1st k5 blazer was like that too.... 11" of lift, 38" super swampers,
2.5 rockwells with 6.72 gears, th400. 454+1/4 crank & .060 over to 496,
tunnelram, 2400 stall, a 292/.595/108 isky ( my favorite cam, can you tell? )
it weighed 6800lbs-- and ripped 13.18 @101 in the quarter !
lots o peeps hated that truck..... especially the cops!
this isnt it, but pretty much what it looked like- although just a touch smaller,
i think those are 44s on this truck. i even had a similar squiggly line but of
course mine was in pink..... wish i still had a pic of the real one.
Conventional wisdom says any 1,000hp, turbocharged, six-speed RS/SS Camaro must be cool, but is that still the case if powered by Toyota?
Yeah , I remember when it came out . I also remember I just slipped by that one . I will admit 1000 horses is 1000 but just think how much it would have been if he had started with a SBC pr a BBC .
Yep - you'd figure of all the car builds, that one would be mostly free from BS... not true, he got it from the 'purists' for not restoring it, and from Aussies as wasting his time... and what he did was amazing....
