Back to the original subject: Should cars be forced to display event sponsors?
Here's my take on the argument....
PRO: It's their event, so maybe it's OK to make everyone play by their rules. Seems reasonable on the surface, right?
CON: Is the sponsor paying out sponsorship money for winners? If not - screw 'em, toss the decals. If yes - then, by all means.
It has happened before in the NHRA Pro Stock ranks back in the 80's (as I remember). The real subject here is not the decal - but the money attached to the decal. If a guy wins with Neal Chance gear, but displayed the other guys decal - does Neal Chance have to pay? Or the other guy? OR BOTH GUYS?????
I don't have the answer to that one. But before the next race - someone should nail this down.
